Obituary

James Millar

James Phillips Millar, September 30, 1931, with family by his side at Kincardine Hospital September 11, 2019 in his 87th year.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret Millar. Survived by his partner Mary Wilkinson.

Cherished father of Adam (Susan) Millar, Davina Palmer, Elizabeth (Gary) Latta, Maggie (Chris Lee) Messenger and stepfather of Bonnie (Dean) Maier and Heather (Wayne) Martinson

Proud grandfather of Mitch (Danielle) and Tracey Millar, Dave (Stacey), Gord (Ashley), Steve (Meaghan) and Charles (Angelia) Palmer, Jimmy (Carol), Jeffrey and Michael Latta, and Ryan and Nathan Messenger.

Great grandfather to Koby, Abigail, Gaige, Blake, Ivy, Alice, Rowan, Sheamus, Grace and Finn and his "wee puppy dog" Puffs.

Survived by siblings Charles (Janet), Edith (Ken), and Elizabeth (George), and many other relatives 'on the other side of the pond.'

Jim always looked for the positives and enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He was always thinking, always tinkering, and enjoyed having guests. His thick Scottish accent and comedic nature were loved by many and will be missed dearly.

A service will be held at a date to be determined. A special thanks to the staff at the Kincardine Hospital.

I was so fortunate to have Jim in our Control Maintenance work group at the Heavy water Plant. He was exceptional with both men and machinery. Although many years have passed since, I have many good memories of him. I consider myself fortunate to have known him.
Sincere condolences to all his family.

Jimmy was my Senior Control Tech and SMS at the heavy there was never a dull moment with Jimmy as your Boss. Numerous tales of his prize birds and other adventures. Besides his humour he was a fair and honest supervisor it was a pleasure working for him. I am sure his passing will leave a big hole in your lives but also lots of good memories. So sorry for your loss.
